Chris Baker CEOI have been trying to get SNMP to work on a fedora core II server. I have gotten it to work fine on all others but this one posses a problem. I use cpanel, and I had cpanel installed the RPM's and then I set up the rocommunity (I am using hybodus monitoring so it requires this.

I then run the following commands:

chkconfig snmpd on
then:
/etc/init.d/snmpd start

And I get the following error:

Starting snmpd: /usr/sbin/snmpd: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/sbin/snmpd: undefined symbol: smux_listen_sd
[FAILED]

I have searched and searched and googled until my fingers bleed. I only find one entry on this error, and I tried that, and it still did not work. I have tried to manuallu compile these, I have run the yum and update2 commands for these RPMS and still same thing.

Can anyone help me get this working? I am not an overly technical persons, but some basic instructions and guidance would be appreiciated.
