well, hopefully one of the things you should have run across while
searching for information on previous attempts is our recommendation
to start with small pieces and work upward.  IE, start by using the
--enable-min-agent flag, which will remove a good portion of the MIB
tree implementation but gets you a lot less problems to look at and
try and get just the most basic agent up and running first.
