Well, I'm pretty sure the exec code changed in 5.1, so that's the likely cause.
Unfortunately, as I said, I can't help much more for binary packages of older
releases. If you could try 5.2.1, that would help. There are some tips on
testing w/out having to install here:

Yes, that was a bug in 5.0.7 and 5.0.8.
