Hey Sriram, I'm not sure what you mean by HTTP. If you mean WBEM (Web Based Enterprise Management) then you will notice that WBEM borrows many concepts from SNMP (such as TRAPS - called Indications), has a migration path to SNMP and fulfills a lot more of the demands in managing heterogenous systems/networks/devices.
