Your timing is perfect!

The 4.2.x line is basically completely dormant, and we're not
really maintaining it any more (and haven't been for some time).
But there are a number of fixes that have been applied to the
code since 4.2.6, so we're in the process of planning a final
4.2.7 "end-of-line" release - after which this branch will be
closed down completely.

I've applied your fix to the 4.2.x code tree, so it should
be included in this 4.2.7 release.
