Well, fixproc is not likely something that's even used very widely.
I'm actually curious as to how much it is, since we've never really
advertised it very much.  It was contributed to the package by an
ex-coworker of mine and we've included it but I'm not sure how wide
spread it is.  Certainly we may have just upped the requirements for
minimal perl version, but I don't see an alternative.  (assuming there
is a mktemp binary is also non-portable anyway).

It's not a very portable script if you look at it closely.  It assumes
particular ps formats, etc.
