One problem with the material delivered by picl is that it doesn't fit
nicely into the data structures provided in LM-SENSORS (particularly because
of nesting) so I was also toying with a new MIB and perhaps a Hardware
Abstraction Layer that would scoop up information on one pass then deliver
it to both MIBS (ie. whichever is actually called).
I hadn't thought about going quite that far, but it's certainly worth a
look. The current code breaks hard on many Sun platforms due to
assumptions it makes about the structure of the picl tree and he
placement of sensor nodes therein. I've got code that seems to work on
the 240R, V880, E450, V210, V440, and V1280, and I have several other
platforms yet to test.
