Robert and I have both just got back from the IETF meeting
in Paris, where there was a report from IANA about the
current status of processing Enterprise Number requests
(among other things).

It's probably fair to say that they've been struggling to
keep up with the demand for a quite while. There's some
performance information at
   http://www.iana.org/reporting-and-stats/ietf-performance.html

(the graph headed "PEN Monthly statistics") which shows that
the number of new requests received exceeded the number processed
for six out of the last nine months.

However, they've recently appointed new staff, so are hopeful
of working through the backlog reasonably quickly. (Note the
stats for June, compared to the previous months). That won't
be immediate, of course - going by that graph, even if the queue
was completely cleared in November (which is unlikely), there'll
still have been nearly 600 outstanding requests as of the end of June.
But they're getting there.

Wait.
They won't have forgotten about you - they're just taking a little
longer than would be ideal.
