What happens if you try a GET request on the same instance?

The iterator config will do this, if you've got suitable 'get_first'
and 'get_next' hooks to walk through the rows of the table. What
do these two routines look like?

Alternatively you could use the 'table_data' or 'table_container'
configuration files. The agent would need to hold a list of which
rows were valid (either maintained internally, or refreshed regularly
using the cache helper), but the contents of a particular row could
be retrieved from your external subsystem when the request is processed.

And I'm sure that the MfD framework could be used in a similar way.

*ALL* MIB implementation frameworks will provide access to every
element in a table. It's pretty much a fundamental necessity for
implementing a MIB table.
