for 5.2.1.2-3, without the related debian-specific patches - it failed.
Does a generic "./configure ... && make && make test" with 5.2.2.pre3
work out of the box for you?
It might be a good idea to add a few words to the INSTALL file about the
roles of libtoolize, aclocal and autoconf ...?
This isn't specific to net-snmp and is documented in the autoconf manual
(where it belongs).
