Difference in opinions:  I consider complete rewrites to be a new feature.
In that case, my code isn't a new feature at all...  It's an extension
of the current ;-)

Not true.  I posted a patch in the last discussion a month ago and
even said in that discussion (not IRC) that 5.3 can't go out the door
without something being done.

I did propose new code.  You hated it.  I modified it so you wouldn't
hate it as much.  We're down to configuration tokens I think.

It's a security issue.  I haven't imposed my fundamental opinion in
ages, but when it comes to things being insecure is where I tend to
put my foot down.
