That's fine - there's no rush. We're just getting ready to start on releasing the next major version, so you'd probably only have had a couple of days to get this to us for 5.3 anyway. (Once we start the release cycle, we don't accept any new features - for fairly obvious reasons!) So realistically you'll be looking at 5.4, which isn't likely to be for some time yet. Have you any thought over which helper framework you plan to use? It might also be worth studying Robert's new IF-MIB rewrite, since I'd expect that the Ether-MIB might need to be fairly closely coordinated with that.
