I think it should go in to 5.2.2 because the default build does not
include embedded Perl, so even if the patch was flawed, it *shouldn't*
make things any worse than they already are.
Delaying the release by another week or two so we can have an r4 is much
better IMHO than releasing a product that we know has a (major?) flaw.
Users who need the other bug fixes in 5.2.2 but also need Perl will be
out of luck. But then again, I don't know if we are talking about 10
users or 1000.
If we don't apply the patch, then when will 5.2.2.1 be released to fix
the issue?
