This is true for all releases and all platforms. In general, the OS does not
track bandwidth for interfaces, so the info isn't available to net-snmp
without polling the interface internally.
As of 5.2, the ifTable re-writes (currently Linux only) *are* polling, so in
theory it would be possible to do this. The question is, should we?
