No - it was completely accidental.
This line is present in my local copy of Makefile.in, and I hadn't
realised that the change hadn't been committed to the CVS tree.
(Not sure how that happened)

Fixing warnings in 'snmpnetstat' is probably reasonable (given
the level of maturity of this section of code).  I'd be much less
happy about tweaking the rest of the suite at this late stage.
