I presume you've tried the usual technique of quoting the
PROC parameter?
  It wouldn't surprise me if this didn't work, though it would
certainly be helpful if it did (regardless of alternative ps
commands).  I'd suggest that you log it as a bug, to ensure
that this doesn't get forgotten.
