You're saying you used swig or something to wrap the Net-SNMP API rather
than using snmpget, etc.?

Why not use Scotty?  (Though I have to admit that I've had trouble
cross-building Scotty for my embedded platform.)

I might also suggest asking on news:comp.lang.tcl.
