Copying the proc file to /tmp and editing it, and changing the path to /tmp in
the source is how I test other people's environments.

I also had someone tell me on irc the other day that the format change was
reversed in the kernel, so it might have been a temporary thing in a test
kernel. Radek, were you testing a released kernel, or a patched test kernel?
