If you are using a pre 5.3 version of the NET-SNMP agent, you will need to re-compile the source with the "disman/event-mib" included. This is an example of what needs to be added along with some other MIBs to include.
This was taken from the NET-SNMP documentation README.Solaris. ./configure --with-mib-modules="host disman/event-mib ucd-snmp/diskio \ smux agentx mibII/mta_sendmail" --with-cc=gcc David Hill -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 10:09 AM To: net-snmp-coders@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: A question on support IPv4 interfaces linkUp/linkDown traps Dear net-snmp-coders, I have a question on support IPv4 interfaces linkUp/linkDown traps. I am trying to use disman/event-mib. I have a snmpd.conf that has these three line: agentSecName disman_event rouser disman_event linkUpDownNotifications yes (See attached file: snmpd.conf) But I got "Unknown token" errors as below: /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 28: Warning: Unknown token: agentSecName. /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 30: Warning: Unknown token: linkUpDownNotifications. Any suggestions on fixing this would be greatly appreciated. If there is other way to support linkUp/linkDown traps, please let me know as well. Thanks for your support.
