I've found a fix for the sighup bug (see bug report at
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1473289&group_id=12694&atid=112694),
and propose that we push throught 5.3.0.2 asap to fix this. snmpd is a long
running process, relying on logrotate to manage log files, and sighup is a
documented way of re-reading configuration files. For this to result in the
agent being unavailable is a serious bug that needs an immediate fix.
Thoughts? Thomas pointed out that this doesn't meet the current definition of a
'show-stopper', and he's right. IMHO, this means the definition needs
updating. A bug that affects all platforms and result in complete loss of
service in a standard usage/configuration scenario should be considered a
show-stopper.
