I've recently added a test for a perl-based AgentX subagent to the "make test" suite. It'll appear in 5.3.1.pre3. So if "make test" works for you with 5.3.1.pre3 (to be released anytime soon), then this feature is likely working in principle.

As soon as I can get -DALL working (as per my recent post), I can will continue troubleshooting and follow up accordingly.

Has a bug been filed for the "-DALL" issue? If not (yet), please do (http://www.net-snmp.org/bugs).

In the meantime, you may want to try with more specific debug tokens to circumvent the "-DALL" issue. Try e.g. "-Dread_config,agentx,perl".
