Personally hadn't thought about that one.


I always thought it was lame that the ifindex was allowed to vary over
time.  It should have been locked down more than the current
description states.

I've written a lot of configuration management code lately that deals
with needing to send configuration to a client table that references
the ifindex value and it's a real pain in the neck to figure out which
interface it is you want to point to...
