No, it should be fine to clear that memory at shutdown.  The net-snmp
libraries do an ok job of shutting down cleanly, but they were
developed from the concept of a decent OS that would clean the entire
application's memory anyway at shutdown of a process.  That being
said, we'd love to be cleaner.  Send us a patch
( http://www.net-snmp.org/patches ) if you want us to consider adding
it to future releases.
