I'd vote for 1) because I think that ideally the perl modules shipped
with latest net-snmp release should match the ones on CPAN. Because if
they don't, wouldn't they need to have different version numbers and
wouldn't they fail the strict check, then?! I'm not sure that making
(even minor) changes after 5.3.1 under the hood and still calling the
perl modules 5.0301 would be a good idea. (That's actually a good
example where versions *may* differ without causing harm.)
