Very reluctantly, I'm forced to admit that the warnings you mention
are probably no longer appropriate.  I still wouldn't want to use this
code on critical production systems, but that's just my innate caution
showing.  The AgentX support is no less mature than the rest of the
project, so I feel it's just generally crazy to rely on this code,
rather than exceptionally crazy to rely on the AgentX code in
particular.
