Title: RE:memory leak 5.2.1 ?

Hi

Did you compiled your Net-SNMP package with DISMAN-MIB?

I remember, diman implementation in Net-SNMP-5.2.1 has memory leak, if you configure monitor directive for linkup/linkdown notification, then definitely DISMAN-MIB implementation will get invoked every 2/3 sec ( based on your configuration )

Attached some mails, have a look.

<<Re: Memory leak in DISMAN-MIB support>> <<Re: Memory leak in DISMAN-MIB support>> <<Re: Memory leak in DISMAN-MIB support>>

In 5.3.1 disman implementation is completely changed, if you have issue with disman MIB implementation, you can have a try 5.3.1 version?

Thanks & Regards,

Santhosh

Hopefully. We'd appreciate to get your results of the same testing for
5.3.1.pre3 or later.

The DisMan Event MIB has been completely re-implemented for 5.3 and above.
This code is entirely unrelated to the previous implementation.

Try that version, and let us know what problems (if any) you encounter.

Same answer - it's a complete re-implementation, so the code is
entirely new.  It's meaningless to ask whether a given problem has
been "fixed".  All I can suggest is that you try it, and see whether
the new code suffers from the same problems.

Sorry - I'm not really following the lists much at the moment, so have
no real idea what that discussion was about.
