If you're using the "traditional" (v4 UCD) module API, yes.
The newer v5 helper-based modules use a different approach.

Please note that at least some of the reasons for this sort of problem
are covered in the project FAQ.  I would *strongly* encourage to read
through this, and try some of the suggestions there, before posting
problems to this list.
   Amd as I've said before, it's extremely helpful if you give some
indication of what you've already tried when reporting a problem.  The
less detail you give, the less we are likely to be able (or willing!)
to help.
