"Initially" means that Linux was the only system I'd had a chance to try the code out properly, and make sure it reported sensible answers. (Either equivalent to the old code, or more realistic values where the old code was actually broken). I've started looking at the *BSD systems, and hope to be in a position to activate those early next week. In the context of 5.4, ideally I'd like to ship this with just the HAL-version of ucd-snmp/vmstat. (The other code would still be there, of course, and could be configured in manually. It would be extremely useful to give that version of the HAL CPU code a whirl. I've written the code based on on-line man pages, so it *ought* to work first time.
