Huh? The *whole* issue here is how to properly deal with sed limitations at
configure time.

That's for Solaris 8 for which I didn't even report the original problem (since
I do have that patch I pointed you to). But it strengthens the fact that this
issue is likely to affect a significant number of Solaris users.
