[ First - *please* don't mail me privately, without copying
any responses to the mailing list. I don't have the time
or inclination to offer private, unpaid, SNMP consultancy.
Keep discussions to the list, where others can both learn
and offer advice. Thanks. ]

That's the question I'm trying to check.
Does the agent *actually* reply to 0.0.0.0, or does it just
*say* that it's replying to this address?
If snmpwalk/snmpget work fine, then it sounds as if the
agent is actually working happily, and it's just the debugging
output that's wrong.
When you run snmpwalk/snmpget - are you querying a 5.4
agent running on that same box, or another agent somewhere
else?
