Mark,
It seems "container-cache" is not the default anymore in 5.3.1. So when you
generate mfd templates, you 'd have to choose "container-cache" in the
interactive setup.

I just tripped over the same thing, have the same question, and would
like the answer as well.
Is anybody actually using mib2c mfd for 5.3?
