Hello,
I am new to SNMP and I want a guide on how to install this on a step by step
basis.
I have a Big Brother Prefessional Edition setup already but I cant connect to
some interfaces like firewalls, Fiberlinks and Routers using ICMP but I believe
I should be able
to use SNMP to connect to them.
I have downloaded net-snmp-5.1.4 and I have installed it.
I also did this: make -f Makefile.PL allmibs which got installed in
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
Also,I setup the snmpd.conf using this command: snmpconf -G
and I also copied this file to replace the former snmpd.conf file. Though I
followed the Net-SNMP Tutorial -- snmpd
I dont know how to configure it to test the interfaces I have running on my
Big Brother Monitoring Device.
Any help will be appreciated.
