Does it also happen if you do some simple test manually, e.g.
agent/snmpd -H
or
agent/snmpd -f -Le --quit localhost:8161
?
If you can easily reproduce the crash, can you try to get us a
backtrace, please? See http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Debugger .
