I'd like to send traps to my local syslog file instead of to a remote
host. I understand I can run a local snmptrapd to receive traps and then
log them to syslog.

But is there a way to tell snmpd to directly send traps to syslog? In
other words, is syslog is valid trap sink? The man page seems to suggest
no, but just in case somebody knows a way ...

Thanks in advance.

Wayne
