After performing the required "./configure", "make", "make install" commands, a
snmpd executable was created. I want our hardware box to execute this snmpd
executable upon bringup so the snmpd master agent can start.
I am planning on moving the snmpd executable into the box environment and
update our bringup routine to start the snmpd executable (of course) when the
box first initialized itself, however, I am wondering whether I need anything
else for it to run nicely.
The "make install" installed everything into the "/usr/local" directory so must
I make sure that the entire "/usr/local" directory tree exists on our box as
well so the snmpd executable can access information located within? Do I
simply just need the snmpd executable only? What stuff must I make sure to
include for snmpd to work properly?
