May be it be better to remove forward encoding code at all ? I successively analyze the code, and I am interested for v1 and v2c code too. I live in Russia, and there under linux it would be useful for me, if snmp v1 and v2c code be present. I work with switches, which not support SNMP v3. Even exist switches, which support only limited SNMP v1. As I understood you Wes live in US.
