Works like a charm ... thanks. I am a happy person right now :>)
Questions:
1) If I wanted to perform a SNMP request on a particular port (ie: 705), then I
guess I would execute the command with 127.0.0.1:705 ?
2) Should I be using port 705, or is port 161 more SNMP specific in the
industry?
3) Why does "localhost" work on my Linux machine, but does not work on the
hardware box (which I was told should be like my Linux machine). Actually,
what does "127.0.0.1" represent ...... basically, why did that make the SNMP
requests work?
Thanks again.

try using 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost in that command...
