Nothing. In general, the Net-SNMP suite typically works with .txt files But this is purely a convention, and the library will actually load *any* file it finds in the MIB directory(s) that looks like a MIB, regardless of suffix. I believe that some other applications may require a .mib suffix (and may even use a different "pre-compiled" format), but that's not the case with the Net-SNMP toolkit.
