Yes I am talking about the RMON mib.

I added all the need vendor specific code for stats and history.

We have an existing customer requirement  to support Rmon alarms and 
events.

I have tried to push moving forward with DISMAN mib but no success yet due 
to existing customers needs.

I saw the alarmTable.c patch for RMON alarms although it uses a different 
mib2c template than in the past.
I guess I will need to work with that code, perhaps email the author.

The issues was in calling the Find_var to fetch the first value for a new 
row in the alarm table. 
The code could only find the functions registered via the old API in the 
tree.  I been trying to follow
the code to see how all these function pointer callbacks get reg into the 
main oid tree but its difficult
to follow.

But I will figure it out as in the past.

Thanks for all the help, I will bring down 5.4 as my starting point for 
the port.  Thanks for the advise and 
guidance.  Your work and efforts are greatly appreciated!!!!
