Dave, Yes I am talking about the RMON mib.
I added all the need vendor specific code for stats and history.
We have an existing customer requirement to support Rmon alarms and
events.
I have tried to push moving forward with DISMAN mib but no success yet due
to existing customers needs.
I saw the alarmTable.c patch for RMON alarms although it uses a different
mib2c template than in the past.
I guess I will need to work with that code, perhaps email the author.
The issues was in calling the Find_var to fetch the first value for a new
row in the alarm table.
The code could only find the functions registered via the old API in the
tree. I been trying to follow
the code to see how all these function pointer callbacks get reg into the
main oid tree but its difficult
to follow.
But I will figure it out as in the past.
Thanks for all the help, I will bring down 5.4 as my starting point for
the port. Thanks for the advise and
guidance. Your work and efforts are greatly appreciated!!!!
Cheers,
tjs
