None, really.
The problem was listed as semantic or minor so this just takes us a
small step in the direction of a more standard autoconf interface.
Note that you still have the ability to specify the variables on the
command line but the syntax becomes
./configure CFLAGS=-qodd-compiler-flag
/MF
