I'm runing an snmp agent on a solaris 10 server, it is working well with the
get, getnext commands etc . and also with the traps,
The communication between the monitor and the server is OK, but
I would like to know what I have to develop if I want that my snmp agent
send back
Value(s) which is/are not defined in a standard MIB but, through a script
execution, in order to get some
values on the application I want to monitor.
I hope I'm explicit enough, this a little explanation :
Snmp client of my MONITOR send a GET command to the server with a Specific
OID --> SNMP Agent on the server receives the GET command --> A script is
started on the server (any language : PHP, shell, Java) because the OID is
not a standard one --> the script returns a value --> and send it back to
the monitor
