Since I am using a subagent to process my MIB requests, then should I be using
the following options in the "snmpd.conf" file? What do these actually mean?

Yes you can, in snmpget command you can
specify “–t 10”. Here the 10 tells the master agent to
wait 10 seconds to get the response from sub agent. For more information,
do “man snmpget”.

the timeout duration of an SNMP query?
I am using NetSNMP
v5.4.1 and I am using a subagent to gather data for my MIB.
When performing a SNMP query which needs to gather a bunch of data, sometimes
the SNMP query times out thus resulting in no data being displayed. I
am assuming this is because the master agent has timed out waiting for the
data to come back from the subagent. Most of the time the data is
returned and displayed fine, but I need to make it more reliable.
Is there a way to increase the wait time period before a SNMP query times
out?
