The best thing to do at this point is help contribute to the wiki.
We've been slowly trying to move most of the tutorial information over
to the wiki system for exactly this reason (easier for others to
contribute).  We probably need a new "agent architecture" section in the
"Agent Coding Tutorials" section within:

http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Tutorials

It's probably worth noting that there are a few handler examples in
agent/mibgroup/examples and agent/mibgroup/testhandler.c that are worth 
studying.
