Nothing released, no.
I've tweaked the table_data template in the SVN tree to fix those two
problems, and that should be included in all future releases of the software.

As I've tried to indicate, there is no single "correct" mib2c template to use.
A lot depends on both the characteristics of your MIB, and also on
personal preferences.
I believe that the table_data config is a sensible framework to use,
and would fit your requirements very well. But I wouldn't go so far as
to say that it is the "correct" one, since that implies that the others
are in some way "wrong".
Just 'cos I don't like something, that doesn't make it wrong :-)
