No - I understood your question perfectly.
Think about *why* the daemon is not running - it does not
understand the IPv6 address that you gave it.
Now think about the FAQ entry which I pointed you to.
It is talking about how to specify IPv6 addresses.
Which is exactly the problem that you are facing.
(I even extracted the relevant bit for you!)
OK - it's talking about how to specify these addresses in
the context of a client application, rather than the agent.
But surely it's not too much of a leap to recognise that the
same syntax might be relevant here too.....
