That is a *VERY* old version of the software.
The 4.x code has been unsupported for several years now.
The "ucd-snmp" package has been superceded by "net-snmp".

Please try using a more current version.

No idea - this particular line of code is now completely unsupported.

Your choice, of course.
But the Net-SNMP code is much more functional and robust than
the old UCD code.   And if you do mean 4.2 (rather than 4.2.x),
then that's even older (and buggier) still.
   If you insist on using obsolete code, them I'm afraid you're
on your own.
