Hi,
In my AgentX implementation each sub agent runs on a separate processor. Is
there any way in the AgentX protocol to add the information about the subagent
(a community string, agent IP address) in the out going traps/notifications.
The trap originates in sub agent, is sent to master agent and goes out. I
assume that community string in the snmp trap packet will be of the master
agent and the agent ip address in the trap pdu will be that of the ip address
of the master agent.
How does the trap receiving entity find out that the trap originated at the sub
agent??
