As a matter of fact I agree with him - if I run configure with
--with-prefix=/something then I think it is a reasonable expectation
that nothing outside of /something get modified when I run 'make
install', and this is regardless of any small matter such as that perl
won't find the libraries under /something - I asked for /something in
order to not affect the actual system.
