There is a reason why the following demand in snmpd.conf doesn't care about
ifAdminStatus before sending the linkUp and linkDown traps?
notificationEvent linkUpTrap linkUp ifIndex ifAdminStatus ifOperStatus
notificationEvent linkDownTrap linkDown ifIndex
ifAdminStatus ifOperStatus
monitor -r 60 -e linkUpTrap "Generate linkUp"
ifOperStatus != 2
monitor -r 60 -e linkDownTrap "Generate linkDown"
ifOperStatus == 2
In my testcase I disable the interface by putting the ifAdminStatus to down and
I saw a trap generate by netSNMP.
