Any management application (such as OpenNMS) should be able
to query the Net-SNMP agent in exactly the same way as any other
SNMP agent.

You'll need to configure the agent with the community string(s) that
you want to use.  See the FAQ entries about access control for details.

You'll need to consult the OpenNMS documentation for information about
how to use that software.
